Tips & Tricks - Advanced Utilities in AutoFluent®
The Utilities window in AutoFluent® is an advanced set of tools for managing some of your AutoFluent® data in bulk. To access the Utilities window, click the black gear icon from the AutoFluent® main page to open the Setup Entry, then click on Utilities under the General column. There are 5 tabs in the Utilities window that will help you find tools you are looking for.
Do you ever find duplicate Customers, Vendors, or Inventory in your database? There are tools for that! In the Utilities window, you’ll find the ability to clear duplicate customers, vendors, and items by merging the duplicate entries together.
Also located in the Merge/Import Inventory tab are the Excel importer tools, which allow you to use an Excel spreadsheet to import information directly into your Main Inventory or your Vendor Catalog accessed from AutoFluent®. The Customers tab features other popular tools, such as Delete Old Quotes and Delete Old Appts. If you have workorders that need to be removed from your open workorder list, you’ll need to convert the Workorders into Quotes before using the Delete Old Quotes button. If you have any questions about these tools, feel free to contact AutoFluent® Support before using them!
Can’t get into Workorders after a power outage at your shop? Notice the Repair WoLock button at the very top of the utilities window. You should only use this button if you get an error when opening workorders. The error will refer to the WoLock table being marked as crashed. This most often occurs if a workorder is open when a power outage hits. If this function does not re-enable you to open and edit workorders, contact AutoFluent® Support to assist you further.
The Inventory tab includes multiple in-depth tools to help manage and maintain your inventory. These tools make large changes to your data, and should only be used by a knowledgeable hand.
