Our New Update Process for Desktop AutoFluent

When you update to our next version, 9.3.1, you will have the option to use our latest updater system. (Note that for AutoFluent.NET users, updates and backups happen automatically, requiring no user interaction!)  When clicking the update button in Desktop AutoFluent, you will see this new window:

Clicking the Download Update button will launch our new install wizard.  Although this first update (to 9.3.1) will take a minute or two while it sets up the new updater, the future updates will be much faster and simpler than previous updates have been. 

If you check the Use Advanced Downloader checkbox before you click the button, you will be taken to the previous slower updater that you are used to. Our support staff may use this from time to time to take shops back to specific older versions.

We have been working hard to streamline, simplify and speed up the updating process, because we know your time is valuable.  After updating to version 9.3.1, future versions will install more reliably, and in a fraction of the time.
